Of course, these establishments don’t work alone. This week-long food festival is made possible thanks to the partners behind the plate championing local growers, producers, and culinary innovators across the province, including Alberta Beef Producers, Alberta Lamb Producers, Alberta Small Brewers Association, Egg Farmers of Alberta, Noble Premium Bison, and the Alberta Hospitality Association.
“Egg Farmers of Alberta is proud to have partnered with Alberta on the Plate for many years, which has included various collaborative projects involving local chefs, restaurants, and egg farms from across the province,” says David Webb, Manager of Public Affairs at Egg Farmers of Alberta. “They are a tremendous partner to help promote the Alberta agri-food industry.”
More than a celebration, Alberta on the Plate serves as a year-round champion of the province’s food and beverage industry. By spotlighting local products and their producers, and promoting culinary tourism, Alberta on the Plate fosters awareness around sustainable sourcing and regional ingredients, solidifying a more sustainable local food economy.
