We love hearing from you when you’ve had a spectacular dish in a restaurant, and the memory stays with you, such that want to try and recreate it yourself at home for your family and friends.
It’s happening more frequently too, which speaks volumes for the standards and quality of our restaurants – it’s good news for everyone!
We received an email from Helen S, who had recently attended a dinner at SOT Korean Restaurant, in Calgary’s Inglewood neighbourhood.
“We really enjoyed our dinner last night at SOT. Everything was delicious! We particularly loved the wonderful Asian Pan Roasted Eggplant dish.
Would Chef Alex be willing to share his recipe with us?” she asked.
How could we resist? We’ve had that dish ourselves at SOT, and absolutely loved it! Many thanks to Chef/owner Alex Sang-ho Kwon for generously sharing this beautifully balanced and really delicious recipe.
What I appreciate most is when a tool offers names that actually sound natural instead of random characters. A well-designed name generator can make a big difference there.
Wow, that SOT roasted eggplant sounds absolutely amazing! I'm so glad Chef Alex shared the recipe; I love it when restaurants do that. I actually tried making a similar pan-roasted Asian eggplant dish at home last week, and while it turned out great, I realized my old frying pan was really uneven and made the job tougher than it needed to be. I ended up finding a really nice, heavy-bottomed pan on Sears https://sears.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html that has made a world of difference for getting that perfect roasted finish without any burning. It’s so helpful having the right tool to really nail a recipe that reminds you of a great meal out. Can't wait to try this SOT version next!
